Since reforming in 2015 Maximum Joy have been pretty busy  working

  • there are things going on behind the scenes that will soon be revealed..!

  • To coincide with 6 Music Festival 2016 in Febuary Gilles Peterson invited Janine Rainforth in to speak to him on his BBC 6 Music programme about Bristol Underground Musical History,

  • Gideon Coe also ran a 1 hour special on the origins of new wave in the Avon area "Avon Calling" - Janine was invited to give her views on how things evolved.

Maximum Joy reformed last year - their first gig was at Simple Things, Bristol’s music festival, 24/10/15. Simple Things Festival organisers invited them - playing together for the first time as a band in over 25 years was an amazing experience.
